Who is Pavlov’s Bell? “Pavlov’s Bell is an instrumental band. The music is a blend of experimental, jazz and psychedelic rock.”
What is your story? “The band was formed in 2015 by bassist and composer Antonio Pereira. Shortly after composing short ideas and having a rough idea of what the band should sound like, he recruited long time friend and former bandmate Jorge Fernandez to play guitar and help compose. Jorge’s jazz chops blended with Antonio’s psychedelic bass tones created the foundation of the bands sound. About three months later drummer Francisco Lujan joined the group. His progressive drumming style added another voice to the group, giving the compositions a strong backbone. The band recorded and played shows as a three piece until December 2016; when Santiago Suarez joined the group on the synthesizer.”
Where are you guys from? “We’re from Miami”
How has your location influenced your music? “Being a band in Miami has influenced us to try and make something different- much of the music here is dance music or classic rock revivalism. That’s all fine, but we strive to do something apart from that.”

Who are your heroes? ” Pink Floyd, Radiohead, BTBAM, Primus, Rush”
What is your favorite piece of gear and why? “My favorite piece of gear is my Catalinbread Echorec delay pedal- it’s a sort of “secret sauce” it’s used all over our songs and recordings. I love how versatile it is- it’s a multi head delay, meaning it has different subdivisions of delay in it, really useful.”
What are you going to be working on the next 6 months? “We’re in the process of recording our album, as well as playing as many shows as possible.”
What have you been doing the last 6 months? “We’ve been recording and playing shows, mostly. As well as some writing, because playing the same songs over and over gets boring REALLY fast.”
