Electric GordonIndie music in brazil – We are an indie rock from Rio de Janeiro/Brazil, releasing our first single now on July 10th. The band was formed in 2013, but the project was reloaded in 2015 to produce and record an album, that will be released on October 10th. We have influences of 90’s indie, grunge, and alternative rock. Our album was entirely produced and performed by Denis Netto, lead singer, and guitarist, and we’re now preparing to start performing by September.

Where are your from?: Rio de Janeiro/Brazil
How has your location influenced your music?: None. We are mainly influenced by US and UK artists. By the 90’s grunge music, British Rock.
Who are your heroes?: Sonic Youth, Kasabian, Shellac, NIN, Pixies,
What is your favorite piece of gear and why?: We have an Ilan Rubin’s Dum Stick, that we took on Primavera Sound 2014 NIN concert. It is framed on our studio wall!
What are you going to be working on the next 6 months?: We will be finishing our album, and start touring around Brazil. Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Recife
What have you been doing the last 6 months?: We were recording and mixing our upcoming album, “Pressure Depression”

The music is a blend of experimental, jazz and psychedelic rock.” What is your story?  “ The band was formed in 2015 by bassist and composer Antonio Pereira. Shortly after composing short ideas and having a rough idea of what the band should sound like, he recruited long time friend and former bandmate Jorge Fernandez to play guitar and help compose.
