Over the last year, in my role as a writer for Back Stage Indie Report, nobody has caught my attention the way Banners has, his voice, his music stylings his lyrics make him in my opinion a total package. This latest single does not disappoint. Hard driving beats and a great tempo matched with a voice that grabs you the moment you hear it, this is a great song.  According to his Wikipedia page Michael Joseph Nelson, known under the stage name Banners (styled as BANNΞRS), is an English musician from Liverpool. He released his debut EP Banners in January 2016 through Island Records, following three singles released in 2015: “Ghosts”, “Shine a Light” and “Start a Riot”. All of which are on heavy rotation on my iPod. As it is with several of the Back Stage Indie Report staff.  I have seen live clips on YouTube and he is equally as compelling live. Check him out and make him big.
